Anam Design Studio specialises in interior architecture, with a focus on residential, hospitality and bespoke commercial projects. It is run by partners Liz Hughes and Alex Michell from their office in Dublin.

We deliver both beautiful and functional spaces by applying architectural principles and processes, from conceptual design with 3D visualisation, drawings and specifications, and project management.

“We started Anam to create something that had an honesty to it, a type of design that we both responded to.” From our mutual respect for natural materials, Nordic style and comfort, Irish craftsmanship and modernist architecture, Anam was born; “we wanted to have a company that reflected our own style, rather than fitting in, one that had its own identity.

Our distinct, yet complementary, backgrounds in interior design, architecture and industrial design bring a unique focus to each project by remaining sensitive to client’s aesthetic and practical requirements. “It’s about how you use the space and how it feels, not just about how it looks.”

Anam is “about creating an ethos, a way of living.” Call it Warm Modernism.
